Step 2
Since rumors of budget negotiations are swirling down at the Capitol, it is important that lawmakers hear from their constituents – you! They need to know that the work that you all do requires a state investment in the form of restoring the state housing trust fund AND enacting a state low-income housing tax credit. Not either/or, but both resources are needed to address the affordable housing crisis in our state, before we face the same predicament of our Pacific coast neighboring states.
Please contact your elected officials and let them know that you want their support on HB2732, the bill that creates a tax credit that mirrors the federal LIHTC program and bolsters the production of affordable housing across the state AND restoration of the state housing trust fund included in this budget cycle!
